Erupe, a young boy from Turkana, faced a heartbreaking battle with a growing tumor that blocked his nostrils and threatened to spread to his eyes. Desperate and overwhelmed, his mother had lost all hope and was on the verge of drowning him in the river—until compassionate villagers stepped in and sought our help.

As Save A Life Community, we intervened just in time, and Erupe was transferred to Nairobi for treatment, thanks to Getrude’s Children’s Hospital Foundation and World Vision Kenya. After enduring immense pain with no means for medical care, Erupe’s journey from despair to recovery is a testament to the power of hope, timely action, and community.

Save a Life intervened, with World Vision Kenya and Getrude’s Children’s Hospital Foundation providing crucial support. Erupe underwent a long surgery and is now recovering well under the care of Getrude’s.
